A market watcher expects fuel prices to go up tomorrow as the Public Utilities Board prepares to give the weekly settings.
Dan McTeague, President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, predicts a 3 cent increase in gasoline and a 9 cent jump in diesel. He says demand is high and supply is low.
If his projections are on, the price would be just a hair’s breadth away from $2 per litre on the Avalon Peninsula.
McTeague says the market is too volatile right now to know what will have with heating fuels tomorrow.
This week represents the end of what’s called the contract month and the market has been all over the place.
