Eastern Health has officially opened up the application process for the fertility subsidy program.
The program, which was first announced by government in March, will provide $5,000 per IVF cycle to eligible patients, for up to three cycles.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a valid MCP card, be referred for fertility services by the Fertility Services Clinic, and not have previously received a provincial subsidy for more than three cycles of IVF services.
The program will be retroactive to August 4, 2021. Initially, government had said the program would be retroactive to September 1 of that same year, but it was changed to coincide with the date the program was first announced.
Applications are available at the Newfoundland and Labrador Fertility Services Clinic or by emailing fertility.services@easternhealth.ca.
