This cruise ship season is on track to be the busiest one ever in Corner Brook.
A total of 24 ships are on the docket with August being the busiest single month.
The cruise industry has been decimated by COVID-19 and is only now getting back on its feet.
Mayor Jim Parsons says it’s becoming a significant feature of tourism in Corner Brook.
He says it means a lot of direct money for tours and suppliers, but also creates spin-off activity with tourists who get off the ship to visit the Corner Brook area.
