The provincial government is providing its first look at some of the rooms and amenities that will be in the new Mental Health and Addictions facility.
Mock-up rooms have been constructed to allow government departments, clinical staff, and other stakeholders the opportunity to give feedback on them while construction Is ongoing.
The mock-up area offers a look at several different areas of the new hospital.

The nursing station has been designed with patient interaction in mind, including an accessible height counter for patients in wheelchairs.
There is a standard patient bedroom, which includes a desk and an ensuite washroom. A portion of the corridor outside the washroom also includes a clinical hand wash sink.
A therapeutic quiet room was also been constructed. The room is a secure area that’s used for patients that require constant supervision. There’s a bedroom and washroom, and an area with windows looking into the room for staff so the patient can be monitored.
