Allegations of conflict of interest made by Eddie Joyce against Commissioner for Legislative Standards, Bruce Chaulk have been dismissed in the House of Assembly.
Joyce made the allegation Monday in response to a recommendation made by Chaulk last month to suspend Joyce for “repeatedly and willfully” refusing to provide requested information.
In addition to making that accusation, Joyce also demanded an apology from Chaulk.
House speaker Derek Bennett ruled on that matter Tuesday, stating that no prima facie point of privilege has been met.
Joyce now has seven days to submit the required financial documents for disclosure or face possible suspension from the house.
