It appears Independent MHA Eddie Joyce won’t face suspension by the House of Assembly next week after all.
Joyce told reporters Thursday there’s been a resolution to the latest dustup between him and the Commissioner for Legislative Standards, Bruce Chaulk.
He shared the news with reporters as he was heading into the legislature for the afternoon session.
But he declined to do interviews on the matter, saying he had to follow the proper process. It’s expected all will be explained on Monday, since the House does not sit on Fridays.
Joyce is still suing Chaulk and three other MHAs, including former Premier Dwight Ball, over the handling of bullying and harassment allegations against him.
Joyce was later cleared but found to have inappropriately lobbied a minister to hire a friend.
