There has been a serious motor vehicle accident on the Southern Shore Highway.
Traffic is backing up in both directions as emergency crews deal with the situation. One caller to VOCM says a pickup and an SUV collided at Middle Pond Hollow.
The road is closed from Sheldon Drive in Bay Bulls to the Goulds turn-off. People are asked to use Witless Bay Line until further notice
