One of the capital city’s premiere events has another honourary life member.
John Perlin has been bestowed with the ultimate honour by the Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee. He becomes the third person to be designated Honourary Life President.
Current President Noel-Thomas Kennell says Perlin has been an exemplary role model for the Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee and instrumental in the success and longevity of the event.
The occasion comes after the passing of Jack Reardigan in 2019 and Gerry Angel in 2002, both of whom were synonymous with the Royal St. John’s Regatta.
Perlin has served in a variety of roles including president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994.
