Holyrood is the site of the annual Squid Fest celebrations.
The official kick-off took place at the Holy Cross Swim Park in Holyrood yesterday with some 600 people in attendance.
Town Recreation Director Steve Martin says it’s great to have people back out to enjoy community events.
He says from a planning perspective it’s great not having to deal with guidelines that were imposed in previous years.
Twenty-seven events are scheduled over a five-day period culminating with the big Beach Party on Saturday night.
Advance tickets are sold out but a gate sale begins Saturday afternoon at 1:00 with a limit of four tickets per person.
