A 34-year-old man is facing charges after crashing his truck on Salmonier Line.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, police responded to a crash on Salmonier Line where a truck had a near miss with an oncoming vehicle, swerved into the guardrail, and left the road. Police spoke to the man who showed signs of being drunk. He provided breath samples that were three times the legal limit.
While in custody, police learned the man was also involved in a rear-end collision near Deer Park shortly before his arrest. He fled the scene of that crash without stopping.
The man faces charges for failing to remain at the scene of an accident and impaired driving. He was released to appear in court at a later date. His vehicle was impounded and his licence was suspended.
