Six people have been charged with poaching Atlantic salmon following two separate investigations on the Baie Verte Peninsula.
On July 6, Resource Enforcement Officers arrested two people in Westport, White Bay after a net containing several salmon was found in the water near the community.
As well, officers seized a speedboat and outboard motor.
Then, a month later on August 15, four people were arrested at a cabin in Bear Cove, White Bay.
A large quantity of illegally-taken salmon and a truck were seized.
All six people were released to appear in court at a later date to face charges under the Fisheries Act.
