A local organization has launched an online counselling program to help members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
Quadrangle, through a partnership with Jacob Puddister Memorial, is putting off the program thanks to a $25,000 grant from Bell Let’s Talk.
The service offers 200 hours of free online counselling to members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community across the province.
They say it was created in response to a 2021 survey that found 55 per cent of participants were seeking additional support, and 60 per cent were looking for counselling services.
Quadrangle Executive Director Charlie Murphy says the project is the “first of its kind,” and will help fill a gap and reduce wait times for such services.
