A staple to the music and entertainment industry in this province is being honoured on a national level.
Buddy Wasisname and the Other Fellers, the trio consisting of Kevin Blackmore, Ray Johnson and Wayne Chaulk have been recognized to the Order of Canada.
The group known for their comedic songs, ballads and skits has been bringing the humour and stories of Newfoundland and Labrador to audiences around the world since 1983.
They were three of 99 names appointed to this year’s list. An induction ceremony will take place in Ottawa in the new year.
