Memorial University’s faculty association has ratified a collective agreement with the university.
MUNFA members voted strongly in favour to ratify the tentative deal agreed upon on February 10 following nearly two weeks of striking.
The agreement will be in effect until August 1, 2026 and includes a committee to review collegial governance at MUN, an extra month of pay for teaching-term contract workers, a 12 per cent raise over four years and no changes to post-retirement health benefits.
MUNFA President Ash Hossain says they are continuing to work on job security for their most precarious members and are looking to improve collegial governance going forward.
