A town councillor in Flatrock is celebrating a significant milestone—25 years of service on the town council.
Cape St. Francis MHA Joedy Wall recognized Marion McCarthy’s milestone in the House of Assembly earlier this week.
Wall says McCarthy has “contributed greatly” to the growth and success the town has seen over the course of her career.
Outside of politics, Wall explains that McCarthy is also a dedicated volunteer.
He says she has organized and managed the Flatrock and Area Soccer Group for the last 25 years as well—noting that she is affectionately known as “the soccer lady.” McCarthy then received a standing ovation from all MHAs in the House.
