Most of the areas damaged by a fire at St. John’s International Airport are now back up and running.
The blaze broke out in late March due to an electrical issue, damaging a portion of the eastern side of the terminal.

Chair of the Board of Directors at the airport authority, Tom Williams, says most of the damage was contained.
He says one gate will remain closed for a number of months and they’ve already restored some areas. He expects everything will be open again in the summer months.
