A man facing almost 40 criminal charges, including hitting an RNC officer with an ATV, has been denied bail.
47-year-old Craig Lynch of Paradise was arrested in December after police issued a warrant for him. That followed an extensive search and requests for any video the public could provide.
The warrant was issued after an incident November 30 on McNamara Drive where it’s alleged Lynch struck an officer while riding an ATV.
The constable had to be treated for undisclosed injuries.
Lynch faces a total of 39 charges, including assaulting an officer with a weapon causing bodily harm, resisting arrest, failure to comply with release orders, dangerous driving, and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. He’s also charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, and damaging property.
Lynch was returned to HMP after being denied release on Friday.
He’s due back in court next week to enter pleas to the dozens of charges he faces.
