The Department of Health and Community Services is introducing a new position in partnership with the province’s Medical Association.
A Manager of Physician Relations will be added as part of the Shared Agenda for Family Medicine, a plan that focuses on recruitment and retention of physicians, collaborative care teams, and improving the system as a whole.
They will also help provide NLMA members with additional information on MCP adjudications by providing physicians with reasoning for a decision, and how to avoid MCP adjudications.
The province expects to have the position filled in the coming months.
