The provincial government has announced the details of its new green transition fund.
The fund is part of government’s restructuring agreement for the West White Rose Project in May of last year.
Project partners agreed on $100-million to establish the fund.
The first annual payment into the fund is $6-milllion, that will increase to $12-million in 2033 and 2034.
The fund will be used for projects and efforts that support the province’s transition to a green economy.
Applicants will be able to apply for funding under three streams: rural, indigenous, and general.
The program will begin with a call for expressions of interest expected to be released in the coming days.
