The Canadian Forces Snowbirds are set to take off over the Town of Conception Bay South this weekend.
Members of the forces landed in St. John’s on Thursday ahead of the show planned for Saturday afternoon.
Captain Marc-André Plante says people can expect lots of action with the aircraft flying close to 300 feet over the water at speeds of over 500 km/h.
He says there will be a lot happening all at once as the nine aircraft will first present itself as a single formation before breaking off into groups and solo performances. “If we’re doing everything well as far as timing, there should always be something in your field of view,” said Plante.
The show will be taking place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at St. Edward’s School Field. More information can be found on the town’s website.
Shoutout to Captain Marc-André Plante for the tour! The pilots actually have the ability to listen to @590VOCM when they’re up in the sky! ✈️ pic.twitter.com/EhXPmWdeUQ
