The emergency room in Bonavista will make use of virtual emergency services tomorrow due to a staff shortage.
The changes will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. tomorrow until 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
During this time the department will have a nurse practitioner and a respiratory therapist on hand. A physician will support the ER virtually.
Patients can proceed to the hospital to receive emergency services, and will be transferred to another facility if necessary.
