The Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador is once again joining his Atlantic counterparts in calling on Ottawa to reconsider its new Clean Fuel Regulations as prices will skyrocket over the coming years.
In a tweet as part of their Fight the Federal Gas Hike, government says that by 2030, the tax may drive costs for gas in Newfoundland and Labrador up by around 17 cents per litre. Diesel may reach 16 cents per litre by that same time.
The website for the campaign is now live and can be found at fightthefedhike.ca.
🔶 Atlantic Canada's Premiers are calling on Ottawa to reconsider its new Clean Fuel Regulations because they disproportionately impact our region, and could increase costs for NL'ers by up to 17 ¢ per/L for gas & 16¢/L for diesel by 2030.
