The provincial and federal governments have announced a $2.7 million funding boost for the tourism industry on the west coast.
Premier Andrew Furey and MP Gudie Hutchings made the announcement in Gros Morne National Park this morning.
The feds are contributing $2.2 million, while the province is giving over $547,000.
The money will go towards seven tourism related projects on the west coast and the Northern Peninsula.
Furey says it will help unlock the value of the product in the region.
He says the projects on the west cost compliment other tourism initiatives happening in other areas of the province.
