The residents of Gibbs Place and Ellis Place are without water due to a water main break earlier today.
A sinkhole opened up at the top of the Gibbs Place cul-de-sac due to the main break.
City crews turned the water off, but not before a number of homes were inundated.
City officials say the water will remain off until midnight tonight as repairs are underway.
The city says properties in the area may experience loss of water, low pressure or discoloured water. Run the cold water tap in a sink until it clears.
