Those involved in the production of the television series Hudson & Rex have announced plans for the Second Annual Paul Pope Memorial Golf Tournament next weekend at Admiral’s Green in Pippy Park.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the Paul Pope Legacy Fund, established in Paul’s memory to support individuals, groups or organizations based in Newfoundland and Labrador that advance work in the fields of television, film, theatre and the arts.

Pope, a prolific film and television producer, passed away after a short illness in April of 2022. His loss left a huge void in the local film and television industry.

He was the producer of CityTV’s popular series Hudson & Rex, which has received recognition internationally.

The golf tournament is set for Friday, August 25.
