A rally is taking place at Confederation Building today to bring attention to what’s being called a drug crisis in the province.
It is being spearheaded by Tina Olivero, whose son Ben died after ingesting cocaine that was laced with fentanyl last month.
Ruby Batstone, who also lost her son to addiction and is helping to organize the event, says they are expecting a big turnout with over 100 people already confirmed.
She says they want government to hear the hurt, and to let them know that there needs to be change.
Health Minister Tom Osborne and Justice Minister John Hogan will speak at the rally. It is taking place at 2 p.m.
