The province’s youngest entrepreneurs have been honoured at the annual CBDC Youth Ventures Awards.
The program helps young people start their own business.
One such duo is 11-year old Emma Foss and seven-year-old Katie Foss.
They have been given the Outstanding Venture of the Year Award for their business Emma and Katie’s Candy Shop.
Katie says their mom helped kickstart the process.
They initially wanted to do a lemonade stand, but their mom got them to brainstorm some different ideas.
Emma says the award means a lot because it shows that they have accomplished a lot over the last year.
