Historic Sites of NL is cutting the ribbon on a new local art gallery this afternoon.
The gallery, located above the Heritage Shop on Water Street in downtown St. John’s, will showoff local arts and crafts from artists throughout the province.
The grand opening takes place this afternoon from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., but Historic Sites NL Enterprise Manager, Rhonda Walsh Hatcher, says the gallery will be open year-round for locals and tourists alike.
They’re expecting it to be a busy few weeks ahead with a number of cruise ships scheduled to dock in St. John’s harbour. Walsh Hatcher says they’re looking forward to showing off the best of arts and crafts the province has to offer.
