The RNC have arrested and charged a 21-year-old man in connection with an incident involving a firearm on George Street early this morning.
Police were called to the downtown around 1:20 a.m. after an altercation that resulted in a man presenting a firearm. The man was restrained by private security.
Dylan Callendar of St. John’s is now facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, and careless use of a firearm among other weapons-related offences.
The accused was held in custody pending a court appearance.
