The RNC have laid charges against a 37-year-old man in connection with a crash on the Outer Ring Road back in June.

Just before 5:00 p.m. on June 26, police responded to a single vehicle crash on the highway between Aberdeen Avenue and Logy Bay Road.

The passenger, a 26-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. She remains in hospital.

The crash led to a search for the driver, who fled the area on foot. A short time later, police tracked the man down in the area of Paddy Dobbin Drive.

As a result of the investigation, 37-year-old Daniel Ozon has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm, as well as breach of a release order.
