People of all ages and abilities are invited out to the Eastlink Events Centre in Clarenville tomorrow to gauge interest setting up a sledge hockey league in the region.
Paralympian Liam Hickey and members of the Avalon Sled Dogs will be on hand to show people what sledge hockey is all about.
Heather Paul says her son, who has cerebral palsy, is an active and athletic 13-year-old who would love to play sledge hockey with others.
Paul says sledge hockey is for people of all abilities and she’s encouraging people to come out, all they need is a helmet and gloves, the Sled Dogs will provide the rest.
The event takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. tomorrow.
