The provincial government has established a “Women in Resources Advisory Committee” to provide advice in a number of areas.

About 2,2000 women were employed in the resources sector in Newfoundland and Labrador last year, which amounts to 18.5 per cent of the persons in that sector.

The resources sector takes in mining, renewable energy, and oil and gas.

The Women in Resources Advisory Committee is comprised of nine members. They are:
