A former St. John’s Edge player has been convicted of defrauding the NBA.
Glen “Big Baby” Davis was one of numerous ex-NBA players charged for their role in fraudulent claims to the NBA Players’ Health and Benefit Welfare Plan. Prosecutors say the players received millions of dollars through the false claims.
Davis was found guilty on conspiracy charges. The apparent leader of the plot, Terrence Williams, was sentenced to 10 years in prison in August.
Davis played for the St. John’s Edge in 2019.
