There’s a rally tomorrow in Stephenville regarding the windmills and turbines for the World Energy GH2 project—not against, but in favour of.
The company intends to create a wind-to-green-hydrogen project with production to being in 2025. The company says initial stages of the project will offset 850,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year based on displacing the equivalent amount of energy generated from coal.
Organizer Ken Hepditch believes the project will create an economic boom in the region.
He doesn’t see any downfall with it, even if it does not get to mark in NL and is only exported to Europe.
The rally is set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday.
