Two people in a vehicle pulled a switcharoo yesterday after the RNC flashed the lights on the car in St. John’s, as they noticed the man who was in the driver’s seat was under a driving prohibition and had a warrant out against him.
Officers arrested the man, who was by now in the passenger seat, and charged him with several offences and handed out numerous tickets under the Highway Traffic Act.
The 22-year-old woman, who was the registered owner of the vehicle, was issued several tickets including one for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate the car, which police impounded.
