The province’s College of Social Workers has suspended one of its own for professional misconduct.
A disciplinary panel found Jamie Snow, of C.B.S., guilty of conduct deserving of sanction.
Namely, that he failed a high-risk family and youth by not doing the required home visits, falsifying reports about high-risk youth in care, and failing to question a parent who posed a high level of risk to the family.
The ruling states Snow also failed to properly document his work, and did not ensure best practices and due diligence for his clients and his employer.
Snow has been suspended from private practice or supervising others for two years.
He must also complete courses on decision-making and documentation, and submit two “self-reflective” reports.
Snow was also slapped with a $3,500 fine and ordered to pay an additional $3,500, reflecting costs for his disciplinary process.
