A driver in Happy Valley-Goose Bay has been charged with refusing the breathalyzer after crashing his vehicle into a snowbank late Sunday night.
RCMP were called to the scene of the crash shortly before midnight. Police say the vehicle crossed over the yellow line and crashed head-on into a snow bank on the opposite side of a residential street.
Police say the driver, who was still behind the wheel, showed signs of impairment, but he refused to provide breath samples to police when he was brought back to the detachment.
The accused was released to appear in court February 29th, to face a charge of refusal. The man’s vehicle was seized and his license was suspended.
