Premier Andrew Furey and Tourism Minister Steve Crocker are across the pond this week promoting tourism in this province.

Many in this province are looking forward to the return of a direct route to London-Gatwick from YYT, but the London Tourism Mission hopes to entice European travellers to visit Newfoundland and Labrador.

Furey and Crocker will open up a tourism booth at a travel show and meet with tourism stakeholders and U.K. travel operators to promote the province as a key destination.

Government says European travellers already have a keen interest in Newfoundland and Labrador and hope that will grow with the reintroduction of a direct route.
