A man who was already on a court order to stay away from a business in the centre city area of St. John’s was spotted by police officers in the process of thieving that very business.
RNC were in the area responding to a separate report of theft around 9:30 last night when they spotted the 37-year-old.
He has been charged with theft under $5,000 and breach of a court order.
He will appear in court today.
Meanwhile, another man chose the wrong time to try to steal clothing from a business in the west end of St. John’s.
The RNC were on routine patrol at about 10:00 last night when they spotted the man running from an emergency exit of the business carrying a large pile of clothing with office security in pursuit.
Police officers intercepted the 36-year-old and charged him with theft under $5,000 and breach of court orders.
He was held overnight for court today.
