The Fogo Island Inn will be blocked solid beginning this today as they host four days of events centered around Monday’s solar eclipse.
Managing Director of the Inn, Amanda Decker-Penton, says all rooms are booked up, with about 55 guests expected in total.
The event itself will be hosted by Newfoundlander Bethany Downer, who is a Chief Science Communications Officer for the James Webb and Hubble Telescope, and former NASA aerospace research engineer, Dr. Tom Edwards.
Aside from being there to view the solar eclipse, Decker-Penton says other events will be taking place over the next few days including stargazing, music, storytelling, and events with both of the hosts.
