The Tories have secured another seat in the House of Assembly. Lin Paddock has won the Baie Verte-Green Bay by-election decisively.
Paddock held a strong lead from the start, with Liberal candidate Owen Burt and the NDP’s Riley Harnett unable to close the gap.
Paddock won with over 4,200 votes, Burt received over 1,000, and Harnett garnered 96.
This is the second district the Progressive Conservatives have taken from the governing Liberals in three by-elections held so far this year.
