65-Year-Old Charged With Sexual Assault

A 65-year-old man has been arrested and charged by RNC as the result of a reported sexual assault dating back to December of 2023 in St. John’s.

RNC were contacted by a woman who reported being assaulted by a man she knew at what police are calling a community support group on Topsail Road in the capital city’s west end.

The Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit launched an investigation, and the accused was arrested on Tuesday.

He’s been released on conditions pending his next court appearance.
