The Corner Brook Port Corporation has signed an MOU with CWP Global to explore Project Gwinya, a green hydrogen hub.

The project aims to decarbonize supply chains, create jobs, and elevate the region’s profile.

Jennifer Crane, Business Development Manager with the Port Corporation, says they’re in the early stages as the proposed project has to go through the environmental assessment process. There will be an open house Tuesday to provide some detail.

She encourages people who wish to learn more about the concept to go to the open house. Crane says the objectives of CWP align with the global transition to and the province’s hydrogen energy action plan.
