A 34-year-old man is facing a long list of charges following a dramatic sequence of events in Labrador.
RCMP in Sheshatshiu attempted to pull a vehicle over in North West River on Saturday, but the vehicle sped away, side-swiping a police cruiser in the process.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Sheshatshiu and the driver was promptly located and arrested.
Colby Powell is now facing two counts of assaulting a police officer, and one count each of dangerous driving, flight from police, impaired driving by drug, failing to comply with a demand, and obstruction.
Powell was released on conditions pending his next court appearance on August 29.
