The PC Party and some concerned parents aren’t buying the education minister’s assurances regarding the PWC feeder system come September.
Last week Krista Lynn Howell gave out some numbers indicating that enrollment at all four schools in the system will be below their educational capacity in the new school year.
Education Critic Paul Dinn challenges those numbers.
He says the educational capacity given by Howell are above the original capacities for the buildings. He states that “if those numbers are not correct, what kind of faith do we have in the potential enrollment numbers.
Dr. Jillian Croke, the parent of two children at Larkhall, says she was surprised to hear that the capacity numbers released by Howell were more than previous capacities for the school.
“I just cannot fathom how those capacities have increased inside those buildings.” She says the schools were already overcrowded, and now the capacities have been increased with no physical additions to the buildings.
