A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with threats made against students and staff at Leo Burke Academy in Bishop’s Falls this week.
Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP were called on Tuesday and determined that threats had been uttered against a number of specific students, but not against the school itself.
The accused was arrested on Wednesday and released on conditions. He’s scheduled to appear in court at a later date on two counts of uttering threats.
RCMP say there is no current risk to the safety of students and staff at Leo Burke Academy.
