The Canadian Federation of Independent Business still has concerns over the GST holiday, which began over the weekend.
The CFIB has been told that businesses don’t need to comply with the tax holiday, and some multi-nationals have already said they won’t be participating.
Cabinet minister and west coast MP Gudie Hutchings says understands that the CFIB might still have issues with tax break, but overall, she’s getting good feedback.
“I’m going to tell you…on the street, I’m hearing phenomenal things about it,” she said.
