While most parts of the country are enjoying sunshine and summery warmth, Newfoundland continues to languish in rain, drizzle, fog and single-digit temperatures.
And there’s no immediate relief in sight according to Environment Canada meteorologist David Neil.
He says the island is stuck in a persistent northerly to easterly flow. He says with sea surface temperatures northeast of the island still quite cold, that means cold weather.
He says the single-digit temperatures will continue for the rest of the week and through the weekend before returning to more seasonable values next week.
