RCMP in this province are warning of a scam revolving around items listed for sale on Facebook.
The scammer lists items at a cheap price and gives an address which is not theirs. After the email money transfer is made, the senders are blocked.
The ads can appear in community buy and sell Facebook groups, your Facebook Feed or Facebook Marketplace.
Police say it’s never a good idea to pay for merchandise before you receive it.
