A 45-year-old woman has been charged after drugs and weapons were seized from a home on the west coast.
The RCMP-RNC Joint Forces Operation West, and Corner Brook RNC searched the home on Humber Road around 10 a.m. Monday and arrested the woman.
Police say several items were seized from inside the home, including about 2 ounces of cocaine – which was prepackaged for street-level sales, quantities of suspected opioids, drug paraphernalia and items consistent with drug trafficking, a stun gun – which is a prohibited device, and concealed knives.
The accused appeared in court on Tuesday, and will appear again at a later date on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of a prohibited weapon, and obstructing a police officer.
The investigation is continuing with further charges possible.
